Eguakun Joel Emmanuel Imariagbe was born on 28 June 1980, in Benin City, hails from Igbogor community, Ovia South West Local Government Area Edo State, South-South, Nigeria. He attended Army Children School, Army Day Secondary School, and Ekosodin Secondary School, all in Benin City. He is a graduate of Mass Communication/Journalism at the prestigious Yaba College of Technology.

Eguakun is the Managing Director, EMMAJEI SPORT, a firm specializing in sports-related activities ranging from, Info dissemination, Coordination, and Commentary.
Joel whose nickname is Emmajei14 is a professional sports writer, Director, and analyst who has worked with several celebrities such as Kiibati Bankole (KBT), Solomon Ajuziogu (Sporting Solo), Seun Ajidagba (AJI) and Julian Ajuwa.

Emmanuel aspires to be Better Himself and has his mentor to be Rev.Matthew Atchor and idol as Larry Izamoje.
